To provide the best possible experience and keep group sizes manageable, all Historic Matewan Walking Tours must be booked in advance through our website or official Facebook page. Last-minute reservations may be accommodated based on guide availability by messaging our Facebook page.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your tour, please notify us at least 12 hours before your scheduled tour whenever possible. This helps us offer the reservation to other guests. The $12 per person tour fee is collected through an emailed invoice after booking confirmation. There are no cancellation fees, and guests who cancel within the recommended notice period will receive a full refund.

Tours operate rain or shine. However, Historic Matewan Walking Tours reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule tours due to severe weather or other hazardous conditions. Guests will be notified by text message or email as soon as possible and, whenever feasible, at least one hour before the scheduled tour.

Tours take place entirely outdoors on public sidewalks and historic areas throughout Matewan. Routes last approximately 60 minutes and require continuous walking. Guests are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear, assessing their own physical abilities, and requesting any accessibility accommodations before their tour.

By booking or participating, guests voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with outdoor walking tours. Historic Matewan Walking Tours, its owners, employees, and guides are not liable for personal injury, illness, property damage, or property loss except where required by law. Personal information collected for reservations is used solely for booking management and communication and will never be sold or shared with third parties except as required by law.
